Union work
I am a member of United Academics of KU, the union of faculty and academic staff at the University of Kansas. We won our recognition election in April 2024.
I have been a member of the Contract Action Team (formerly Organizing Committee) since 2022, and have been a member of the Negotiating Team (what is also called "bargaining team" or "table team" in some locals) since 2024.
I did the Organizing for Power "Core Fundamentals" training, organized by the Rosa Luxembourg Institute and the late great Jane McAlevey, in 2023.
